I recently saw a company advertising a year of free 20 minute English lectures delivered to your email everyday. It’s funny that they will be offering 20 minutes a day because that is exactly what we recommend our elementary school students try to spend on studying English a day. That is why, in addition to our live online English classes, we utilize various apps to give the students options for daily study. Although we all know that the quality of study often trumps quantity of study, consistency is the big winner.
Today was our self-study students’ private lessons. With these students, we meet once a week so it’s really important for our students to interact on the apps so that they can get consistent feedback from the teachers. With our Standard plan, the zoom lessons are really nice for building a sense of community with their peers but the improvement of the students’ English, whether a Standard plan student or a Self-study plan student, is really dependent on their work outside the classroom and the feedback they get from the teachers on that work.
